After striking up a friendship with laundromat worker Mimi, actor Zach Galifianakis discovers that Mimi is homeless. Galifianakis buys 88-year-old Mimi her own apartment after 25 years of homelessness. Today he foots her bills and often takes her to his film premieres.
Documentary "Queen Mimi" is in the works following Mimi's life and the incredible friendships she has made along the way.
