Women are now spending thousands of dollars to give their feet a facelift.
Dr. Geoghan, a surgeon at the Cosmetic Surgery Center of Maryland has seen a spike in the field of cosmetic podiatry.
Many women see Dr. Geoghan complaining of pain after wearing heels for long periods of time.
The solution? A procedure called sculpting which involves injecting fat cells into the ball of the foot to create extra padding.
But options are almost unlimited. Patients also inquire about removing bunions and even lengthening and shortening toes to match the rest of the foot.
Botox can also be used to paralyze sweat glands in your feet to prevent sweating.
Doctors expect procedures in cosmetic podiatry to jump as more patients learn about them.
Some, but not all, procedures are covered by insurance.
