The Friendship Academy of Cherry Hill's Teaching Gardens Program

About one-third of children in the U.S. are overweight or obese, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Obesity rates in children ages 6-11 increased 18%, last year according to the CDC. The Friendship Academy of Cherry Hill Teaching Gardens Program was created by the American Heart Association of Maryland, and the goal is to show kids how to grow and make healthier choices in their diet.
