Jacoby Jones Takes Pay Cut in New Ravens Contract, But Calls Baltimore 'Home'

Updated: Thursday, March 13 2014, 12:59 PM EDT

Jacoby Jones says he was in New York meeting with the Giants and on his way to dinner when he told his cab driver to go to the airport - he wanted to be back "home" in Baltimore.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh's first words at a Thursday press conference to announce the new contract for the wide receiver were emphatic; "Jacoby's back!"

Jacoby acknowledged that he took less money to return to the Ravens. When asked how much he replied that he was "not good at math" so he didn't know the difference.

Jones wore an "I [heart] Bmore" hat during the conference and said, "This is probably the only place that would let me be myself."

The Ravens reached an agreement on a four year contract with Jones earlier this week.

"Jacoby's a playmaker," Harbaugh said Thursday. "But he's not just a playmaker...he's also a quality receiver. We believe that [Jacoby Jones'] best football is in front of him."
