Chair Wars in Snowy Southeast Baltimore

It's been a longtime custom in Baltimore to save your shoveled-out parking spot by putting a chair in its place. But while the massive cleanup continued on Friday, this very practice heated up a war between some neighbors in cold and snowy Southeast Baltimore.
A mysterious snow pile appeared overnight, surrounding a car in an otherwise cleared parking space. In the middle of the pile of snow sat a blue chair, one that had been marking the spot as "reserved."
It's said to be a message left by the resident who had shoveled out the space. Neighbors say the snow was dumped in "ruthless spite" to block in the Hyundai, whose owner apparently moved the chair to take the cleared space.
"They clearly left a message to this person, 'Hey learn the rule, you don't do this in Baltimore,'" Neighbor Miguel Cervantes said. Neighbor Gerald Neily called it "A real soap opera."
So far the owner of the car also remains a mystery.
