Baltimore City Fire Crews and BGE officials are investigating after several manhole covers blew off in Northeast Baltimore, windows also reportedly blew out of a building on Harford Rd.
According to BGE the problem was related to an underground cable, on the electrical side, which a spokesperson said can cause manhole covers to rise up.
Though BGE would not confirm, it appeared that one of the manholes flew up with enough force to shatter a street lamp. CLICK HERE or on the thumbnail image below for a larger view.
