Preparations Underway for Baltimore's Fireworks Spectacular
Updated: Thursday, July 3 2014, 06:15 PM EDT
Preparations are underway for the big fireworks spectacular set to take place at the Inner Harbor Friday night.
Ryan O'Neill and his crew from Pyrotecnico began setting up on Tuesday. By the time they’re done, the entire barge will be filled with fireworks, wired in a sequence with changes in color and style. They will be remotely set to fire by computer. Every explosion must be carefully choreographed to match with music.
To achieve this, all the shells have been labeled with a number, with each number corresponding to a hit in a script, which corresponds to the music.
Organizers are expecting a crowd of more than a 100,000 to come out for Friday night's show, which should last about 20 minutes and feature more than 2,000 shells.
FOX45 will broadcast the show on-air beginning at 9 p.m. Friday night
