An attorney representing Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice after an altercation in Atlantic City involving his fiance is asking the public to "reserve judgement until all the facts are out."
FOX45 spoke with Michael Diamondstein, a criminal defense lawyer based in Philadelphia about the case. He said the video obtained by TMZ Sports which is said to depict Rice dragging his unresponsive or unconscious fiance out of a casino elevator "shows the very end of what transpired."
Diamondstein said, "We are confident that by the time all the facts are in the open, the public will have a completed and true picture of what actually transpired."
Ravens running back Rice was arrested over the weekend in Atlantic City after an alleged physical altercation with his fiance outside a Boardwalk casino. Rice was charged and then released. A woman identified as his fiance, Janay Palmer, was also arrested, charged and released.
The two are facing simple assault charges after striking each other with their hands, according to the police report.
The Ravens released a statement Sunday night: "We are aware of the Friday night situation with Ray Rice and his fiance. We have spoken with Ray, and know that they returned home together after being detained."
