Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Harford, Baltimore County

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for central Harford County and Central Baltimore County Monday evening.
"At 4:45 pm EDT a severe thunderstorm was detected near Timonium or near Cockeysville and was moving east at 20 mph," the National Weather Service (NWS) said. "This storm is capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph."
Impacted locations include Carney, Perry Hall, Fallston, Kingsville, Pleasant Hills and Bel Air.
"This is a dangerous storm," NWS warned. "If you are in its path move indoors to a sturdy building and stay away from windows."
A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for nearly the entire state of Maryland. The NWS watch covered every Maryland county with the exception of extreme Western Garrett County. It will remain in effect until 8 p.m.
