A Baltimore City street has been renamed to honor Officer William Torbit Jr., who was killed last January in the line of duty.

The 6600-block of Wildwood Parkway was proclaimed "Police Officer William H. Torbit Jr. Way" at a ceremony this afternoon.

Torbit was shot 20 times by his colleagues while working undercover near the Select Lounge on Paca Street.

Torbit would have turned 35 years-old today.
