The teen accused of shooting a 5-year-old girl had been placed on home monitoring just one day earlier
after pleading guilty to a juvenile charge.

Lamont Davis, 17, was denied bail one Monday.

His criminal history includes 13 arrests for offenses ranging from assault, theft, handgun and drug possession. He's also suspected in carrying out a carjacking.

Just 24 hours before the shooting in southwest Baltimore, Davis appeared before a judge for a robbery, assault and theft.

After pleading guilty, Davis was was released on home monitoring.

Davis is believed to have cut off the monitoring device, which is equipped with GPS, according to the Department of Juvenile Services.
