Those who represent Dixon argue that State Prosecutor Robert Rohrbaugh has abused the grand jury process by hauling witnesses before a grand jury solely to bolster his case against Dixon before her trial.
Rohrbaugh argues that Dixon's lawyers improperly filed their motion in the public record instead of under seal in a bid to taint the potential jury pool.
Last week, a grand jury handed up a new indictment against Dixon that restores some charges that had been dropped, including perjury counts.
