WBFF - Crime & Justice - Boyfriend Arrested in Pregnant Woman's Murder - Joy Lepola
The boyfriend of a pregnant woman strangled last week in northeast Baltimore has been charged with first-degree murder in her death.

Andrew Jackson, 29, is charged with the murder of 29-year-old Betsy Riggin.

Police found Riggin's body after she didn't show up for work Thursday. She was strangled to death at her home in the 3200 block of The Alameda.

Police say Jackson was the father of Riggin's unborn child and has confessed to the slaying.

He could face murder charges in the death of the fetus under Maryland's viable fetus law.

Prosecutors are awaiting word from the medical examiner on whether the fetus could have survived outside the womb.

Jackson's criminal history includes several theft and drug convictions, as well as domestic violence allegations.Boyfriend Arrested in Pregnant Woman's Murder - Joy Lepola
