WBFF - Crime & Justice - Coach Sentenced for Soliciting Sex from Teen - Joy Lepola
A former girls soccer coach was sentenced to one year in jail Wednesday for soliciting sex from the 14-year-old daughter of a police officer.

Charles Friedel, 33, pleaded guilty in February to one count of soliciting sex from a minor.

Prosecutors say Friedel offered the girl private soccer lessons last summer and then propositioned her in text messages.

Friedel was arrested in an undercover sting after the girl disclosed the text messages to her father, an Anne Arundel County police officer.

Friedel must register with the state as a sex offender. Upon release, he will be on supervised probation for five years.
