Baltimore City erupted in violence this weekend leaving a dozen people shot, three of them fatally.

A total of 12 people were shot in incidents across the city from early Saturday morning through Monday morning.

Police say 19-year-old Marquell Turner was shot to death Saturday night on Washington Street in East Baltimore.

And another man was fatally shot just before 9 a.m. Sunday on Winchester St. in West Baltimore. He has not been identified.

Police Commissioner Fred Bealefeld responded to the violence Monday, saying patrols will increase in certain areas.
