IN THE NEWS: CRAIGSLIST URGED TO DUMP ADULT SERVICES FOR GOOD
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -- Craigslist continues to be under pressure to get rid of its adult services section once and for all. The online classified site recently posted the words "censored" over the section for adult ads, after being criticized for promoting prostitution. Now Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal and national nonprofit organizations say they want to see Craigslist go a step further. They want confirmation that the site is out of the adult services business for good -- and they want the site to stop accepting similar ads in hundreds of countries around the world. Blumenthal says he wrote a letter to the site calling for it to be "a model for good policy" and get rid of adult services for good.

IN THE NEWS: APPEALS COURT RULES IN ELECTRONIC PRIVACY CASE
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- By now, most people know that your cell phone records can help authorities trace your whereabouts. Now, a U.S. appeals court says that in some cases, before police can look up such records to track a person down, they must get a warrant. The federal court ruling in Philadelphia stems from a novel electronic privacy case. Judges in a Pittsburgh drug case. Federal agents used cell phone records to indicate where callers had been during past calls. The appeals ruling is considered a victory for electronic privacy groups -- even though the court did stop short of saying warrants are always needed for the cell phone company data.
ON THE WEB: GOOGLE'S LOGO
CYBERSPACE (AP) -- It's something Google has done for a while: change its logo to mark holidays, artists, sporting events and other dates of note. Usually Google makes it clear what the change in its logo is for -- but not this time. Yesterday, the Google site featured a mass of blue, red, yellow and green balls bouncing across the name. In a tweet, Google suggested there was some exciting news this week -- but didn't say what.
