Another woman has come forward saying she was sexually assaulted near a Baltimore City bus stop, raising further concerns that a recent string of attacks could be linked.

A 22-year-old woman told police she was sexually assaulted about 1 a.m. Wednesday in the 2700 block of Brendan Ave. in Northeast Baltimore.

The woman was about a block away from a bus stop when she was dragged into an alley and assaulted by a man with a gun, marking the third such attack since Halloween weekend and the ninth rape in the city since Oct. 20.

Baltimore police are investigating whether the attack is linked to the other attacks that occurred near bus stops in the Eastern district.

Police have released a composite sketch of a suspect in the first bus stop rape, which occurred Oct. 30 just after 6 a.m. in the 1300 block of Harford Ave.

A 19-year-old woman was dragged to North Central Avenue, where she was sexually assaulted.

On Oct. 31, in the 400 block of Colvin St., a 55-year-old woman was leaving a late-night church event and was making her way to a bus stop when she was attacked.

Police noted that the suspect in the most recent attack was armed with a gun, whereas the first two victims reported their attackers had a shard of glass.

In a joint effort with MTA police, Baltimore police officers will be posting the composite sketch on buses and stepping up patrols in the affected areas.
