Former Republican Governor Robert Ehrlich still is not sure if he'll run for office again.
Ehrlich said last month that he would decide whether to run again for governor based on how his party fared in gubernatorial elections in Virginia and New Jersey.
Republican candidates won both of those contests on Tuesday.
He said yesterday he'll make his decision early next year.
Meanwhile, the first Republican to declare his candidacy for the 2010 gubernatorial race is calling it quits.
Mike Pappas is dropping out and throwing his support behind another GOP candidate, Lawrence Hogan, Jr.
Pappas says family commitments and a growing legal practice were reasons for dropping out.

Jury says deliberations heated in mayor's trial

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Jurors in the theft trial of Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon were dismissed for the weekend after sending a note to the judge saying deliberations were getting heated.
Jurors deliberated until about 3:45 p.m. Friday before sending the note saying "things are getting a little overheated" and asking to be dismissed. The jury received the case about midday Thursday.
Prosecutors say Dixon used gift cards intended for the needy on personal shopping sprees. The defense says the mayor's then-boyfriend anonymously gave Dixon gift cards for her own use, and she thought gift cards from another developer came from her boyfriend. She's also accused of taking cards from a holiday charity event run by the city.
