Dr. Vela is an experienced plastic surgeon, board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery . He is a member of the prestigious American Society of Plastic Surgeons . Dr. Vela's years of surgical experience encompass Maxillofacial surgery, General surgery and Plastic surgery, including cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Dr. Vela received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, where he also received training in General surgery.

Dr. Vela is highly skilled in both surgical and non-surgical rejuvenation techniques. Dr. Vela incorporates the simple concept that “..the goals and desires of the patient are foremost”. Initial education, prevention, maintenance and minimally invasive concepts are the foundation of Dr. Vela's practice philosophy. Dr. Vela's approach to patient care is very personalized.
