JEFF BARND has returned to Baltimore after helping to launch it's News at Ten in June 1991!

Jeff has also had anchoring and reporting stints in Portland, Maine; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Boston, Massachusetts.

A six-time Emmy Award winner, Jeff has also won numerous awards and statewide honors in Maine, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Maryland. Among some of his awards, Jeff won an Emmy in 1994 for "Best News Series"; covering Cardinal Keeler's elevation in Rome. In 1998 he garnered an Emmy for "Boston's Best Anchor". In 1999, an Emmy for Best Public Affairs Program "New England Stories". In 2000, for "Best Host in Boston". In 2000, for Outstanding Public Affairs Program, "Housing Crisis in Massachusetts". And, in 2004, an Emmy for "Best Writing" in the Baltimore / Washington market, for the story, "Lewd brood"; about the return of the Brood-X cicadas.

Jeff also hosted two controversial nationwide Sinclair Broadcast Group programs. The first special, countered a 2004 Nightline special and the second was "Stolen Honor", a special aired in October 2004.

Throughout his career at WBFF-TV, Barnd has covered stories in Rio d'Janeiro, Brazil, Manaus & the Amazon Rain Forest, Rome, Vatican City, Singapore, and most recently, Kuwait, Bahrain and the Bazra Oil platform in Iraq.

He has always considered Baltimore his adopted home. Jeff and Susie met in Baltimore in 1994. They've been married since 1996, and have two girls, Abigail & Ava.

Jeff's hobbies include drumming, reading, biking and oil painting.
