MELINDA ROEDER joined the Fox 45 news team in May, 2007.  She's an award winning journalist with several honors to her credit.  Her achievements include two prestigious Edward R. Murrow Awards, several regional Emmys, Society of Professional Journalists awards, and well more than a dozen awards from state chapters of the Associated Press.

Melinda is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and that's where she began working as a journalist in radio. After making the switch to television, her career took her to stations in South Dakota, Indiana, Kentucky, and now Maryland.  She has experience as a news reporter, anchor, producer, and weather forecaster.

When she's not working Melinda loves to watch sports. She's a big fan of her Pittsburgh Steelers! She also enjoys taking road trips, still photography, scrapbooking, baking, e-mailing family and friends and reading.  She especially loves classical authors - like Shakespeare and Chaucer - and the new Harry Potter series.

Melinda is thrilled to call Baltimore home after visiting friends here for years.  Before she moved, she swore she'd never eat seafood.  Then she discovered the local crab cakes and got hooked.
