Delaware's Final Minute Comeback Stuns Towson

TOWSON, Md. - The No. 21 University of Delaware football team scored 15 points in the final 48 seconds to stun No. 7 Towson University, 32-31, at home Saturday evening.

The Tigers, who fall to 8-2 overall and 4-2 in the Colonial Athletic Association, led the Blue Hens (7-2, 4-1) by a score of 31-10 early in the fourth quarter before UD posted 22 straight points to earn the win.

After scoring a touchdown to cut their deficit to 31-24 with 48 seconds remaining, the Blue Hens recovered an onside kick to set up the dramatic finish.

Delaware drove 51 yards in three plays and then converted a two-point conversion to take a 32-31 lead with just 19 seconds remaining in the game. Blue Hen quarterback Trevor Sasek connected with Rob Jones on the final touchdown and the two-point conversion.

Terrance West rushed for over 200 yards in a game for the third time this season and for the fifth time in his career in the loss.  West finished with 206 yards on 29 carries and a pair of touchdown runs.
