Ravens Hire Gary Kubiak

Updated: Monday, January 27 2014, 09:54 PM EST

The Baltimore Ravens have hired former Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak as offensive coordinator.

Rick Dennison, Kubiak's offensive coordinator for the past four years in Houston, will also join the Ravens, as quarterbacks coach. The Ravens will still need to hire a running backs coach.

The decision was announced on Monday. Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh had previously revealed that candidates interviewing for the offensive coordinator position included wide receivers coach Jim Hostler, former Redskins Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan, former Lions Offensive Coordinator Scott Linehan, and Pittsburgh Steelers Running Backs Coach Kirby Wilson.

Former Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell left in mid-January to take the head coaching job with the Detroit Lions.
