TOWSON, Md. – Seven members of the Towson University football team have been named to the All-America teams selected by Beyond Sports Network, a web site that covers college football.

Junior running back Terrance West (Northwestern H.S./Baltimore, Md.) and senior tackle Eric Pike (DuVal H.S./Landover, Md.) were named to BSN’s All-America first team.

Senior linebacker Telvion Clark (Granby H.S./Norfolk, Va.), senior cornerback Jordan Love (Green Run H.S./Washington, D.C.) and sophomore fullback Emmanuel Holder (Calvert Hall H.S./Baltimore, Md.) earned spots on the All-America second team.

Junior defensive end Ryan Delaire (Windsor H.S./Bloomfield, Conn.) was honored as third team All-American while senior tackle Randall Harris (DuVal H.S./Lanham, Md.) was an honorable mention selection.

Named as the Colonial Athletic Association’s Offensive Player of the Year, West has rushed for 1,941 yards and scored 34 touchdowns this season. A three-time All-CAA first team selection, he is one of three finalists for the Walter Payton Award.

One of the Tiger co-captains, Pike has started in all 47 games of his college career, a school record.

A two-time selection as the CAA Defensive Player of the Week, Clark earned All-CAA first team honors after making 116 tackles in 13 games. Another All-CAA first team selection, Love has made 51 tackles and has broken up nine passes this season. Holder, who was also named All-CAA first team, has caught 12 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns while leading the Tiger offense with his blocking skills.

Delaire, who was also named first team All-CAA, is sixth on the team with 56 tackles. He led the Tigers with 9.5 sacks.

A two-time All-CAA first team honoree, Harris has been a two-year starter at tackle who has been a key to Towson’s offensive success.

The Tigers, who have reached the quarter-finals of the NCAA FCS playoffs, will face No. 2 Eastern Illinois on Friday night at 8:00 p.m. (EST). The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
