Terrapins Lose Starting Quarterback

Updated: Monday, November 19 2012, 09:25 AM EST
The Maryland Terrapins starting quarterback, CJ Brown, is out for the season after tearing his ACL last night.

The injury happened during non-contact drills during the second practice of the day. The team also practiced Tuesday morning to prepare for their home opener on September 1.

Brown was the only quarterback on the roster with any game experience. The team is now left with two non-redshirt freshman, Perry Hills and Caleb Rowe.

Brown became the starter last year when Coach Randy Edsel benched former starter Danny O'Brien, who transferred to Wisconsin.

In 10 games last season, Brown rushed for 574 net yards.Terrapins Lose Starting Quarterback
